A 28-year-old Chinese national who injured a cop by biting him while being held in a Singapore police lockup was charged in court on Tuesday. Yes, his name is Bai Ting.
The man is also facing charges for being drunk and ‘incapable of taking care of himself’ in a public place after he was found intoxicated around 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to Channel News Asia.
Officers took him to a police lockup in the Bedok Police Division Headquarters, where around 9 p.m. that night, he bit the right forearm of Sergeant Ng Wen Chi. The man now faces a maximum fine of 1,000 USD for being drunk in a public space and for hurting the police officer, Bai could be jailed up to seven years, caned and fined.
Bai Ting’s name and its incredible relevance to his offense almost seems too good to be real, unlike this story, which is still all sorts of fucked up.
