Hubert de Watrigant “Horses” Exhibition opening @ Galerie Dumonteil
Hubert de Watrigant belongs to a “horse family”. The Watrigant have been always part of the elite of the equestrian world. The tradition was that a member of the family would give the start of a race by freeing the horses. Hubert, on his side, gives them an eternal freedom by setting their images on canvas or paper but without rendering them static, always on the move with power and elegance. The owners of racing stable as well as the horse lovers have already for a long time praised his work.
As the author and poster designer of the bull fighting sketches “dessins de corrida”, Hubert de Watrigant’s extraordinary artistic talent and ability of using diverse material began to be noticed by people from other fields. His collaboration with Hermes family has last for over 30 years, with a number of stunning horses decorative patterns, such as the neckerchief “Plaza de Toros”, “Un siècle de courses à Deauville”, “Croquis de champs de course” and other irresistible artworks.
This Show will allow you to encounter a unique and genuine artistic talent.
