Over one thousand gnarly-looking fake FIFA World Cups were seized by customs in Yiwu of Zheijiang province on April 16, according to Xinhua, after being discovered in shipping containers en route to Libya.
With the Brazilian World Cup approaching in June, the sales of counterfit-brand sporting goods have been on the rise in the ol’ fake market. In response, Hangzhou customs along with police and customs in Yiwu launched a two-month campaign fighting intellectual property infringement related to the World Cup, according to China IPR.
Upon quick Google query, the real FIFA World Cup also look like it’s been coated with the leftover wrappings of a Hershey’s Kiss (sorry).
