Damn those children’s casinos! Gambling is illegal in China (except in Macau) and Beijing police are starting a crack-down on illegal betting centers in the city, especially those open to children. Wait, what?
A new law will make casinos that cater to kids extra-illegal, and will outlaw any gambling machines in the vicinity of a primary or secondary school. Who the hell has been building casinos for primary school students, let alone which children frequent such establishments, has not been made public.
Exempt from these new restrictions, however, are console game competitions with small prizes. If any child gamblers need to scratch their itch after the local kiddie-slots are shut down, they’ll thankfully have a place to go.
