If you’ve notice larger-than-usual crowds on the Metro migrating towards Jinshan district, it’s because Fengjing Water Town’s upside-down house has finally opened to the public and it’s like nothing you’d ever expect. That is to say, it somehow manages to look even more unspectacular than previously expected.
The 800,000 USD project was finally completed and opened up for viewers on Friday. The 200-square-meter, two-story house designed by Polish architects claims to be the only one of its kind in China.
For those who want to see more of what an upside-down house entails, the director of the art village where the house is located has warned people with high blood pressure against going inside.
“There is a chance that some people will become dizzy when they’re inside the house, so in the interest of safety we have set a limit of 20 visitors at any one time,” he added.
Ticket prices are set at a hot 30 yuan. Staff running the attraction have, rather optimistically, reminded people that only 1,000 visitors are allowed a day.
