A man in Luzhou city, Sichuan province was rescued by firefighters yesterday morning after he climbed to the top of a 30-meter-high bridge tower and began throwing 100 RMB notes in the air like Mao confetti.
The man, in his 40s, immediately fainted after being brought down by firefighters, who managed to collect around 10,000 yuan in cash that was scattered on the street below.
Upon being rescued around 10:30 a.m., the cash-thrower was rushed to the hospital.
