Reports are coming in that a Chinese national was been kidnapped from a fish farm in Sabah, Malaysia, earlier today. Details are sparse and unconfirmed, but The Straits Times identifies the missing man as Yang Zailin, a manager at a local company that operates fish farms.
The incident is estimated to have occured between 2:45 am and 2:55 am this morning, and The Times believes that “the gunmen [fled] towards the southern Philippines.” This comes a bit more than a month after a Chinese woman was abducted from a floating resort also near Sabah, and the woman has yet to be found.
