Elvis Presley died in 1977, only ever playing a handful gigs outside of the USA. Now, on the other side of the planet and many years later, “Elvis” is coming to Shanghai for an actual Elvis Festival. That is, for the first time ever, an Elvis Impersonator will be performing in mainland China. Elvis Tribute artist Tim ‘E’ Hendry will perform along the Shanghai All-Star band featuring members of some of the city’s best bands.
The main event of the Festival is “Elvis: Live in Shanghai” featuring Tim ‘E’ Hendry and Shanghai All-Star Band – three shows happening at The Pearl. There will also be an Elvis Dance Party by DJ B.O. Food will be available from Tap House, including Elvis’ favorite, peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
