China’s first ever Mud Race takes place this weekend in Shanghai and it’s a charitable event: percentage of the revenue goes to help support underprivileged children via ‘Pass Love’ Charity – Dandelion Village Library Program.
What’s a mud race you’re asking! It’s basically a 5k race where the participants have to complete different obstacles. These involve climbing over and through things, crawling through mud and navigating any other number of surprises. You don’t need to be in great shape to participate. It’s all about having fun!
Tickets include: race admission, transportation to location, one free beer, music and activities after the race. Additional food and drinks are provided by Big Bamboo. Visit their website to find out how to dress and what not to bring to the race.
Tickets: 250 RMB, advance / 300 RMB on day of the race // starts at 9.00 a.m. // Songjiang District, pickup at Big Bamboo on Nanyang Lu at 9:00 a.m.
