A six-meter pear sculpture covered in over 15,000 rubber ducks was put up on display in Shanghai earlier this week. Within three days of making its appearance, over half of the small ducks were plucked away by visitors, leaving only this bottom-bare pear for the rest of us to enjoy.
This is why we can’t have nice things anymore. And this. And this.
God only knows what kind of carnage would have ensued had Florentijn Hofman’s giant rubber duck been in reaching distance to tourists’ grabby hands.
