Void presents ALIEN RAIN aka MILTON BRADLEY @ The Shelter
Warping through space and time to the Shelter for a night of live acid space funk is Alien Rain – aka Berlin born and bred Milton Bradley. Line Up: Alien Rain, Shanghai Ultra, Chris Jobs, Wensen, Ginzburg.
Long active on the Berlin scene as a consumer, Alien Rain AKA Milton Bradley emerged as an artist around 2009 with a series of dark, brooding techno cuts on his own label Do Not Resist the Beat. With terrifying track titles like “On A Day The Light Went Out”, “Psychological Drama”, and “Minus 126 In Berlin”, his output was a bold reminder of Berlin’s innate connection to the Dark Side.

Cock @ The Pearl
‘Cock’ by Mike Bartlett is a quick, snappy, ‘four-hander’ brought to you by East West Theatre as part of theShanghaiPRIDE theatre programme. Set in Shanghai, we follow American expat John as he tries to decide between his posh broker boyfriend, M, and a female British teaching assistant, W. During the play John goes back and forth between M and W, his indecision fueled by the knowledge that depending on which one of them he chooses, he will evolve into a completely different person. Eventually, it all culminates in an evening at M’s flat when all three meet up for dinner and M’s father shows up as a special surprise guest. We have asked the director of ‘Cock’, Barbara K. Anderlic how she sees the play and what her criteria were in choosing the cast for the show.
