A 15-year-old Taiwanese boy stabbed his father out of anger after he was woken from his slumber at 10:00 a.m. on the morning of June 18, Apple Daily reports.
Having just finished the public exam (Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students), the teenager’s schedule had him staying up late and sleeping in late, which left his dad grumbling.
One day however, the teen, surnamed Lin, blew up on his father after he was shaken from his sleep in the late hours of the morning, resulting in a fight first. In a tired fury, Lin grabbed a folding knife and stabbed his father’s left chest three times. Thankfully, the father survived the injures after being rushed to the hospital.
The police said that Lin was going through a phase of ‘teenage rebellion’, triggering the violent response to his father’s nagging.
You know the phase.
The case has since been transferred to the domestic violence prevention center which plans to look into their family’s condition and offer guidance so such incidents don’t happen again.
