Singaporean singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun recently posted on Weibo to tell her fans that she is feeling fine after photos of her in a wheelchair surfaced the internet following Saturday’s concert in Chongqing.
Fans reportedly felt concerned about Sun’s health after seeing photos of Sun looking infirm in a wheelchair on Sunday. However, Sun posted on her micro blog Weibo on Monday to tell her fans that she is fine now.
“After sleeping for a whole day, I have come back to life! I did not end my concert perfectly and also made you all worried since I was not fully recovered from the flu. I can go back to Singapore to see baby today! Happy.”
The post made her fans feel relieved and they left comments of encouragement and reminded her to take good care of herself.
According to China Times, Sun was sent to the hospital for exhaustion after her Saturday evening concert in Chongqing, where she belted out more than 30 songs. The event had attracted around 50 thousand concert-goers. She had reportedly fainted backstage after the concert, and was sent to the hospital. Sun stated that she had actually felt quite ill during her performance.
Her husband Nadim Van Der Ros posted a thread to praise his wife’s strength on Facebook earlier during the show: “ It takes dedicated professionals to deliver on that.” Sun had also posted on Weibo on 11 June saying that she was suffering from a serious flu for 5 days.
