A woman in Hong Kong experienced quite a shock upon discovering that she’d spent the night in the same room with a 5-meter long python.
On Tuesday morning, the woman, who lived in Lei Yue Mun in Yau Tong, spotted a 5-meter, 21-kilo python curled on the ceiling of her bedroom. Frightened, she called the police. Her son had reportedly heard serpentine noises from the room the night before but could not see the snake.
A trained professional, nicknamed “Snake King Pong” arrived with the police to catch the huge snake. While catching it, “Snake King Pong” apparently lost balance and fell on the ground together with the snake.
Fortunately, he did not get hurt and finally captured the huge snake. The python was then sent to the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
According to “Snake King Pong”, the snake was a male python and was nearly 100 years old. He believed that the snake snuck into the house due to the difficulties in finding food during the recent bad weather. He also said that it was lucky that there were no kids in the house, or else they would’ve become the food for the huge snake.
Earlier this month, a python half of this size was found on the bed of a Guangdong woman.
