As the World Cup is in full swing and everyone seems to be taking football fever a bit too far, a shopping mall in Shanghai hopped on board by installing these “soccer fields” with “goals” in the urinals of restrooms, Oriental Daily reports.
While women using the bathrooms next door may not get to enjoy a “fun kick” while they pee, the gimmick has at least benefited cleaners.
According to one cleaning woman, it has been an effective control for urine stains on the wall and floor (get it together, guys) as men are encouraged now to aim their streams into the “soccer goals”, making cleanup much quicker.
Another unexpected outcome is that more and more people have been visiting the restrooms and snapping pictures of the urinals out of curiosity. So…good publicity for the mall’s bathrooms?
We pity the man in real urgency who has to wait for visitors to get their photo-snapping done before they can relieve themselves. On that note, if we ever find footage of a “pee goal” in action, we’ll keep you posted.
