Check out this year’s spectacular crop of 3D art works that Shenyang farmers carved into 453,000 square-meter rice paddies. Cornfield crop circles, eat your heart out.
As you can see, the works depict everything from human figures to animals to mythical figures. Nazha, the famous deity from Chinese ancient literature is represented in rice paddy form (above, bearing the name “Nezha Nao Hai”,. Also present is the God of Love – Cupid in Western classical mythology.
Rice paddy art has been going in Shenyang since 2012, with new exhibitions on display every year. In 2012, the work “Qixinglongteng” gained fame as the world’s largest rice paddy work ever made.
