Yesterday a 17-ton truck hauling around 500 watermelons hit a bridge in Taipei, causing its juicy payload to spill all over the highway.
The 40-year-old driver, surnamed Liang, reportedly drove down the wrong road. When he tried to turn around, his rig crashed into a bridge, sending the 500 watermelons flying.
Fortunately, only the driver’s leg was hurt. The ‘spilled fruit,’ however, resulted in a loss of approximately 100,000 NTD.
At least there weren’t any opportunistic grannies trying to pillage his luscious cargo.
