A woman was filmed hurling out a slew of racist remarks towards an Asian commuter on a Sydney train this week, apparently after being set off by some kids who failed to vacate their seats for her.
Witnesses said that the woman, identified as 55-year-old Sue Wilkins, called the cops when some young children didn’t get up to give her a seat on the train going from Central Coast to Sydney. She then went off on a tirade, launching insults at any passengers who got in her way, including an Asian woman who stepped in to defend her kids and a man filming the clusterfuck of a commute.
Wilkins began spastically spewing out a medley of derogatory and otherwise offensive terms hitting all regions of the map, continually referring to the woman as a “gook” (a pejorative word describing a Korean) before pulling her eyes back and, in a mocking tone, echoing the phrase “I’m from China”. She later tells the woman to “go back to Hong Kong” all the while missing no opportunity to heckle our cameraman, calling him a “jerk-off” and a “bogan” whose genitals, she implies, are of questionable size.
“Who is this little jerk-off he can only get a gook, he can’t even get a regular girlfriend — it is so sad,” she said.
“Is it really that small that you can’t get an Aussie girl? Poor man. Look at this bogan he has got a gook — look at it. She probably thinks he is rich.”
The video was posted to YouTube by user Kareem Abdul, who wrote in the description: “I started filming as the woman became aggressive toward some children (ages 12 and under) who refused to vacate their seats when she had demanded.”
According another YouTube uploader, the man filming wasn’t even associated with the Asian commuter.
“(The Asian woman) is not even the cameraman’s wife, she was just a random passenger sitting next to him”.
Wilkins later apologized and attributed her behavior to a “rotten day”.
“It’s awful what I said to that woman, I do agree,” Wilkins was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph. “There’s no excuse to rant at people like that.”
“It’s awful and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, regardless of any race.”
