A woman sprawled herself out on a busy road in Zhengzhou, Henan for half an hour claiming to have been hit by a vehicle and refusing to leave until the driver gave her a 200 RMB compensation, which she was later seen using to buy fried chicken, according to HK.on.cc.
According to a witness, the woman fell down from the back seat of an electric scooter, after which, the driver rode off. Twenty minutes later, the ambulance and the driver arrived to do a quick check on the woman, and found no signs of any physical trauma.
The police tried to communicate with the woman, but she just kept lying on the ground and pointing at a black Toyota parked five meters away.
The Toyota driver told police that he was just trying to start up the car and left, and that the electric motorcycle just came out of nowhere. “I don’t think that I even hit the scooter. Even if I did, there was no way that she would be catapulted this far with my car’s start-up speed. I suspected that the woman planned this with the scooter driver together. It’s a total extortion.”
The car driver was eager to leave, but the woman seemed to have no intention of getting up, so he reluctantly paid her 200 RMB. The woman then hopped up and left the scene with money in hand. Dahe News cited another witness who told the reporter that he saw the same woman entering a fried-chicken store some 100 meters away from the scene buying some delicious snacks.
