Meet 33-year-old Wang Xiaobing from Xi Yulin county, Hebei province, who had his legs amputated at the hips due to severe burns sustained when he was seven. With the help of his friends, relatives, and an iron will, he learned many trades, including shoe making, lock smithing and key making – all without a wheelchair! He finally started a successful goat farm in 2011, and earned a small fortune. The locals have dubbed him “strong will legless man“.
His wife, Li Chengmei, reportedly travelled from her hometown of Changsha to Zhangjiakou to marry him in the winter of 2008 because she was so deeply touched by his story.
Wang’s story naturally warmed many a netizen’s heart.
“Armless or legless people can also have a very wonderful life. I am touched by your story. You are disabled but never cease to be strong. Compared with you, we don’t actually have anything to complain. Strong will man, you are awesome! Your wife is also the most beautiful woman in the world,” said web user 家庭煮夫.

林浩 wrote, “the wonderful life lies in your attitude to life instead of the fortune you own. You’ve really tried hard to give your family happiness. Thank you for reminding me of those who have constantly given me love. Keep up your spirits!”
“He is the real man. I bet those men who have usual number of limbs can’t be your peer. Don’t say strong women are too many. If men become stronger, naturally, strong women will become fewer. Men are too vulnerable. Small things can lead to their suicide attempt, revenge against society, kneel down for the women they are pursuing. Just imagine how the legless man lead his life!” 王 added.
