Chinese sculptors carved out stunning recreations of China’s historic Forbidden City and the iconic Terracotta Army, among other sites, at the Yokohama Sand Art Exhibition in Japan.
The exhibition features work by sculptors from all around the globe who gathered to recreate images of World Heritage sites from their respective countries purely out of sand. In the China’s zone, artists represented Beijing’s Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Terracotta Army in Xi’an and massive statue of Qin Shi Huang, the King of Qin.
Aside from the architecture and Terracotta Army statues, a large panda, China’s national treasure, was also showcased in the exhibition.
