A giant Transformers bot styled in the likeness of Guan Gong (Lord Guan) recently made an appearance in Linyi, Shandong province and has attracted a lot of eyeballs.
The massive transformer is 9.7 meters in height, six meters in width and weighs around 10 tons. It was assembled from the body, the wheels and other parts of an old beat-up truck by a young artist named Bi Heng.
Guan Gong, or Guan Yu, was a character in the Three Kingdoms period and he served as the general of Liubei. Representing strength and courage, many people still worship him today (although no one probably wants to get their hands on this particular recreation as much as these guys).
