Tens of thousands of “sea cockroaches” were summoned from the depths and seen creeping in swarms over a stony pole along Chikan’s Seaview Corridor in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province one day before the super typhoon Rammasun landed in Hainan province, according to a Zhanjiang web user.
The cockroach gathering of biblical proportions caught the attention of thousands of web users, who expressed their equal disgust online.
“How many of you feel sick seeing these gross creatures? Please give it a vote up!” user 易安郡主 said enthusiastically.
“Is it the countryside? Can farmers sweep them up and feed them to the ducks and chickens?” user 天一的天天下第一的一 questioned.
山寨代言人 wrote, “Thanks to air pollution and water pollution, China has has more potential food materials than any other country. And that’s the gift from the excessive emissions.”
A Yunnan user commented, “The next ‘Bite of China’ will be filming this thing.”
At least for those who feed “babe” cockroaches, it’s a gift given by the nature.
