A man was hired to impersonate Mao Zedong at a pharmaceuticals exhibition in Kunming to promote the products, attracting hordes of people, and no doubt making the Chairman roll in his grave.
On Saturday, a man dressed up as the founding father of People’s Republic of China Mao Zedong appeared in Kunming to help promote pharmaceuticals for a company – you know, one of Mao’s core values. He attracted many people to stop by the booth to greet him.
The impersonator mimics Mao’s signature gestures in front of the booth.
Imitating Mao is apparently one of the best ways to earn money. Last year, a female doppelganger from Sichuan earned up to 5 figures playing the Chairman in movies.
