A massive haul of dead fish were pulled ashore in Shandong province’s Tancheng county after they’d surfaced suddenly in the water of Shuhe River, Xinhua reports.
Fisherman said they suffered a huge loss amounting to 21 tanks of fish. They suspected an alcohol plant in Donghai county, Jiangsu province had poured waste water into the river.
The local Environment Protection Bureau and police have carried out investigation into the case.
Still, no amount of dead fish in one single lake is as staggering a sight as these floaters seen in photos from Lake City Park, Shenzhen.
Let’s hope the Buddhists didn’t do it.
