Residents in Kunshan, Jiangsu province lined up to donate blood a day after a giant factory explosion rocked the city, leaving 69 people dead and almost two hundred more injured, News 163 reports.
Preliminary investigations found that sparks had ignited dust at Zhongrong Metal Products Company, a Taiwanese-owned car wheel polishing plant in Kunshan, at 7:37 a.m., CCTV said.
Staff at the Kunshan hospital said that over a hundred victims suffering from burns and smoke inhalation had already been admitted. They are seeking help from major hospitals in Shanghai and have called on residents to donate blood at temporary collection points, SCMP reports.
