Photos of a woman releasing a bunch of venomous snakes and another animals into a park in Qingyuan, Guangdong have caused an online backlash, according to Tencent News.
The owner of the photos refused to disclose where the release occurred, only stating it took place in a forest. She deleted the entry from Weibo shortly thereafter. However, reporters at the Shenzhen Night Daily confirmed that the venue was in Yingde City, Qingyuan.
9 photos in three Weibo entries titled “Setting free of snakes” were posted on Weibo on July 14. They showed a woman releasing a group of snakes, and praising herself for a ‘deed well done.’
However, she later posted an apology, saying she was truly sorry for causing trouble.
Shenzhen police are currently investigating the case further.
