A whopper of a baby boy weighing 6.3 kilograms was born by c-section in the Chongji Maternity Hospital of Shanxi province’s Yuncheng city yesterday evening, Tencent News reported.
The 34-year-old mother, surnamed Tian, is described as being ‘plumply built’. This baby is her second child (no word on whether number one was also of monstrous proportions).
The birth was somewhat of an uncommon case for the medical staff who helped with the baby’s delivery.
“It’s the first time I’ve delivered such a huge baby in my 30-year-career,” the director of the hospital was quoted as saying.
“Generally speaking, newborn babies weigh 2.5 to 4 kg. Babies weighing over 4 kg are considered ‘huge'”.
The big baby is seen enjoying nurses’ massages.
The baby guzzles down on some milk powder formula.
This baby officially outdoes the big-ass 6.25kg baby born in Changchun, Jilin province earlier this spring. Mom should be proud.
