An almost biblical amount of jellyfish invaded Yantai’s beach at low tide Saturday evening, leaving little space for tourists to play, and presumably paying them back for all those times their litter rendered the beach uninhabitable for wildlife.
Jellyfish breed at the mouth of the Yellow River almost every August. As they drift with the tides, they often end up stranded on the beach in large numbers.
