A China Southern Airlines jet turned around about 30 minutes into its flight from Melbourne to Guangzhou on Saturday after a toddler’s finger was broken by a chair and all 300 passengers onboard agreed to go back, Guangzhou Daily reports.
The three-year-old kid was onboard the flight CZ344 for just 30 minutes when he broke his finger on a chair. An operation needed to be carried out within six hours, according to a doctor passenger.
To give the child timely treatment, the 300 passengers onboard immediately agreed to fly back to Melbourne.
The operation was successful and the child is now in the hospital under observation.
Some nice in-air cooperation after a certain scare in the skies above China.
