In what was only a matter of time, 1,000 people gathered in Xiamen on Saturday for a world record-breaking ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, according to NetEase.
The participants take their place alongside other luminaries like Chinese plankers, hulusi players and prenatal yoga class attendees in the country’s never-ending quest to own all the world records.
According to organizers, participants were required to donate 100 RMB to support ALS research.
The previous world record for most people simultaneously pouring ice water over their heads in the same location belonged to St. Augustine, Florida, with a measly 430 people.
These guys are going to be so mad.
According to Time, the Ice Bucket Challenge has raised more than $100 million for the ALS Association. You can donate here.
