A helicopter descending to the ground in a whirlwind of dust in front of the Heping Restaurant in Dafeng city, Jiangsu province on Friday attracted crowds of gawkers, Tencent News says.
Reporters learned that the the owner of the helicopter, a man surnamed Su, runs a business in Tianjin. He made it home to celebrate the Mid-autumn Festival with his family in lavish fashion.
According to staff at the restaurant, the parking lot outside had to be emptied so the chap could land his ‘copter.
Despite its noise and dust, crowds of residents who (presumably) never parked their own 14-meter-long private helicopter in a restaurant parking lot gasped in awe. After the helicopter landed, three people got off and left in a car, including the owner, his business partner and an Italian pilot.
Su and his business partner are both from Dafeng City, but have been running their company in Tianjin. Su bought the helicopter for 70 million RMB in Italy early this year and hired an Italian pilot to, you know, drop him off at family gatherings or to get some milk at the super market across town.
It’s reported that it takes more than two hours to fly from Tianjin to Jiangsu via helicopter.
