A 64-year-old entrepreneur and party member whipped out 800,000 RMB of his own money and distributed it to local elderly people in his village in Hebei Province, NetEase News reports.
The man, called Songfu, not only serves as Party Secretary in the village but also as chairman of a local company.
After seeing huge success in his business, he was awarded an allowance from the State Council.
The happiest elderly people in the world line up to get their gifts for the festival.
During the Mid-autumn Festival, Song took out 800,000 RMB to purchase Moon Cake Festival gifts for all the villagers aged 60 and above.
Song, the humble giver, said that it wasn’t really a big deal to hand out gifts to his fellow villagers and that he was just trying to deliver festive greetings to the old people.
