Love is in the air! Well, at least for these dogs. In recent years, many major Chinese TV channels have produced popular dating shows, and among these, Jiang Su TV’s “Fei Cheng Wu Rao” has received the most attention. Following the show’s reigning success, Jiang Su’s Life and Sports TV decided to milk it for all it was worth by creating China’s first ever animal dating show, called “Fei Chong Wu Rao”. Woof.
First aired in November 2013, each episode of “Fei Chong Wu Rao” features eight dog owners who bring their “bachelor” or “bachelorettes” for a walk down the runway, followed by a section of show-and-tell, including an introduction and a showcase of their pets’ talents. So far, this season has already featured breeds such as Poodles, Bichon, Samoyed, Golden Retrievers and more.
In addition, Jiang Su TV invites special guests and judges to give advice and assist the matchmaking process. In the very first episode of the season, famous animal discipline expert Wu Qi, radio DJ Wen Lan and Chinese stand-up comedian/actor Yang Yang were invited to be matchmakers.
To date, “Fei Chong We Rao” show ratings has remained exceptionally high, blowing audiences away with cuteness. To keep things fresh, the show has now extended beyond animal matchmaking into animal care, animal health, fashion and more.
