A transparent skywalk is currently under construction on the side of a mountain cliff 1,900 meters above sea level in Baoding, Hebei province. Upon its completion, the 95-meter-long glass suspended walkway will be the longest, widest, highest and therefore most frightening of its kind in China.
The project is underway at Laiyuan county’s Baishi Mountain Resort, where visitors to the two-meter-wide path will be able to gaze down at an unobstructed view of the canyon below them.
The walkway is aimed to be complete by the end of September, so let’s hope it never sees the same fate as that Skydeck in Chicago. Imagine the madness.
