A fragment of a German-made train now “parks” at the Shanghai International Fashion Center. At a glance you might mistake it for a museum or some sort of gallery, but the train compartments have actually been converted into a train-themed restaurant.
Only a small portion of the train is closed off from the customers, the kitchen and a section saved for retail purposes. The remaining area is fully open for seating. All the seats and interior decorations in the restaurant still look the same as when the train was once operated.
Once the customer has ordered their food, they are seated inside a compartment with window views. With the sense of an actual train ride, this themed restaurant aims to bring patrons a one of a kind dining experience.
