Residents in the Qingpu district of Shanghai may have noticed small tremors this morning when a quake measuring a magnitude of 0.6 was recorded, reports Shanghai Daily.
The quake was recorded by Shanghai Earthquake Administration at 9:03 a.m. in one of Shanghai’s suburbs, the epicenter being 22 kilometers from People’s Square. So far there have been no reports of damage or casualties.
There was no devastation on this occasion, however for many Chinese, the destruction created by the 6.5 magnitude in Yunnan last month will serve as a reminder for the potential havoc caused in the aftermath of such fickle natural disasters.
