Bonnie Wright, whom some you of may recall as the on-screen love interest of Daniel Radcliffe in the Harry Potter film franchise, despite how forgettable she may be, joined the likes of other semi-exciting celebrities to cuddle up to these adorable pandas at the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
The actress appeared to be having a decently good time, despite her inability to convey any emotion even remotely resembling this on film. It should also be noted that she lacked any sort of on-screen chemistry with Radcliffe, although it was made clear in the books that she was supposed to be the hottest girl in Gryffindor.
Look at this cute panda eating!
Wright made a trip to Chengdu at the invitation of the local tourism department. This is her inexplicably watching people getting their ears picked.
Here she is getting a massage. It’s unclear whether the massage was uncomfortable or if it just happens to be one of those unfortunately timed photos capturing the transition from scowl to laughter.
Here she is learning how to make traditional Sichuan cuisine. Remember when Angela Merkel learned how to make kungpao chicken in Chengdu? She apparently really impressed everyone with her chopstick skills.
She was given a certificate for her donations.
The Chengdu Panda Base is a non-profit breeding facility aiming to conserve the population of rare giant pandas. Founded in 1987, the center is a world-class research facility which has hosted famous visitors including Jeremy Lin, Michelle Obama and The Backstreet Boys. And Bonnie Wright.
