While we were all toiling away in our respective schools and careers for the past two years to no reward, this man in Shandong province was building a magnificent house of shells.
Fifty-eight-year-old Xiao Yongsheng, a resident on Lingshan Island, used over one million shells he’d collected from his island and around the world to embellish the exterior of the entire house.
The largest shell among them weighs around four kilos, and tiniest decorative shell measures a wee three millimeters long.
The building is now being used as a museum to display the island’s history.
And of course some more shell-related side projects within.
Shell houses. Forever.
