Beijing’s Badaling Great Wall saw a hellish record of 87,500 tourists on the third day of the Golden Week holiday – aren’t you glad that you weren’t there?
This scenic spot has seen 160,000 tourists for the first three holidays. The peak period is expected to pass after 5 October.
At about 3pm that day, a whopping 20,400 tourists were at the area, according to the Beijing’s Tourism Development Committee.
No surprise that the “comfort index” of the scenic spot declined from five points to three points.
A record 540,000 tourists flowed in and out of 26 major landmarks on the first day.
