During Golden Week, nine panda cubs, born at the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base, were introduced to the world, and the world said “Awwww!” Their overwhelming cuteness helps us all forget about how cramped everything is.
In other happy panda news, China Daily announced yesterday the launch of China’s first Giant Panda Valley. The Du Jiang Yan Giant Panda Valley is fifty kilometers from Chengdu, located in the forest hills of the panda’s natural habitat. It’s part of an effort to return more giant pandas to nature. There are currently 350 giant pandas living in captivity.
These pandas don’t want vacation to end.
