A valley in Ludian county of Yunnan province has finally re-emerged after being inundated with water when an earthquake struck the region, Tencent News reports.
An 8.3-magnitude earthquake that previously hit the area led to the formation of a dammed lake near the red rock power plant and Niulan River.
The valley flooded and held around 50 million cubic meters of water, imposing threats to towns downstream.
The water level finally returned to normal this week after the dammed lake was drained. Ta-da. The submerged villages are finally able to be seen.
