A middle-aged woman was beaten with a brick to her head after she cut in line at the entrance to a public restroom in Xiamen, NetEase reports.
According to witnesses involved, a woman around 50 years old had wanted to cut in line at a restroom near the Galangyu market street as she desperately needed to use the toilet. Another female tourist refused to let her, but the middle-aged woman walked in the restroom in front of her nonetheless. The furious tourist then called someone on the phone and was heard saying that she wanted to beat up the woman who cut in line.
As the middle-aged woman left the restroom, bystanders advised her to hurry and exit, but the female tourist managed to catch up with her. A witness surnamed Bai said she saw the female tourist take a brick from the ground and rush towards the middle-aged woman. Bai tried to stop the tourist, but it was too late, and the tourist slammed the brick on the other woman’s head.
By the time police arrived, the female tourist was also squatting on the ground, claiming that she’d been hit and that she needed to go to the hospital
Police later told reporters that the line-cutter was a 56-year-old woman who worked on Gulangyu. They said a fight erupted when she refused to line up and both parties had suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. A case will be filed depending on the severity of the injuries.
