A three year old girl was diagnosed with pulmonary infections and kidney failure after her kindergarten teacher in Zhumadian, Henan province allegedly performed acupuncture treatment on her, according to News.QQ.
The child’s mother, Chen, took the girl to the hospital on September 27 after the girl complained of pain all over her body. The doctor informed her that the child had suffered from pulmonary infections and symptoms of renal failure.
Chen told reporters that there were multiple holes left behind by needles on her daughter’s armpits, abdomen, soles of the feet, head and neck. The child told Chen that she was punished by the teacher for refusing to take an afternoon nap.
According to Chen, her daughter appeared agitated after returning from hospital and refused to go to the kindergarten again.
The child’s grandmother said that they can hear her moan or wail while asleep. “She would say, “Teacher, don’t put needles in me please. I’m a good girl, but why do you still want to do this to me? She sometimes cries after she wakes up from her nightmares.'”
However, the teacher said she didn’t see any holes on the child’s body and she had no idea of why the child got the needle holes. She denied abusing or performing any kind of acupuncture procedures on the child.
