The words from left to right read: “It’s not been long since we met each other…But the feeling…Is different”
A total of 100 Chinese characters were carved into 93 poplar trees on a street in Changchun city, Jilin province, spelling out a love letter to an unidentified recipient.
“You”,”I love you”, “just”
Only some photos were posted to social media, but witnesses who took them said that the trees made up an entire love letter.
“Are we brought together by destiny?”
While images of the tree-scrawled missive had a number of web users swooning, many agreed that there were more productive and less destructive ways to go about expressing one’s love.
