On Thursday evening, an armoured van carrying eleven boxes of cash overturned and fell into a river along the highway of Lishui, Zhejiang Province. Emergency workers took six hours to fish the van out of the river, while the guards remained strangely hush-hush about what the cash was for or where it was due to be transported. Hmmm.
The 11 boxes of cold hard cash, surprisingly intact, were immediately transported to another secure area, cfp.cn reported. It took emergency workers four whole hours to locate the van amidst the river, and they successfully used a crane and mechanical equipment to fish it out of the river after two more hours.
The effort was an arduous one due to the poor visibility and low temperatures. The van’s five passengers escaped through the van’s windows soon after it landed in the river and have been sent to the hospital.
Will the owner of the yuan please stand up? It could either be these poor officials who had their cash stolen, takings from these illegal gambling machines, or maybe takings from this dumbass robber?
