In a move that somehow makes forced evictions look even more heartless, a pregnant woman in Shaanxi Province was pulled from her bed and out of her home early Saturday morning, so that the family house could then be torn down.
The incident occurred in Hanzhong city, where the two-months pregnant, 23-year-old Zhang at least used to live. NetEase reports that the eviction operation went down because the woman’s father had signed a contract agreeing to move out in 15 days, and that was more than a month ago. The other party was left with no recourse but to abduct a pregnant woman in her sleep—less hassle that way, fewer homemade bombs to deal with, at least.
