A wealthy Hong Kong man who’d lavished his mistress with money and gifts decided to sue her after she rejected his marriage proposal because she no longer loved him.
The 50-year-old man, surnamed Chang, began seeing the 17-year-old woman many years ago while he was still married. He blew tons of cash taking her out and buying her expensive gifts, sports cars and the like.
After the affair had gone on for about two years, Chang parted with his wife (along with a large chunk of settlement money and a car) so that he could live with his mistress. When he asked for her hand in marriage, however, the young woman refused him and said she’d fallen out of love with him. Wah.
Chang later found out that she’d married someone else and had a child this year in April. He was bummed, considering he’d doted on her with cars and piles of money.
Chang decided to sue his ex-mistress for 600,000 USD, telling the court that all the money he’d given her was for loans and that she owned him money in interest.
The woman, however, counter-sued, saying that she’d given him her years of youth and beauty. The final verdict is still pending.
