A select group of residents in Jinshicun village, Hunan province have turned to an alternative form of treatment for cancer: manure-soaked water.
At the risk of sounding like a tightly buttoned city-dweller unable to open her mind to the benefits of natural healing, it sounds very gross. Nonetheless, at least 20 households have turned to this remedy since a grandma in the village who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer recovered after drinking the concoction for eight months (it’s not clear how she was turned on to it).
The villagers collect goat and cattle manure, dry it out in the air, then fry and grind it. One spoon of manure grinds in a cup of hot water two times a day is apparently the ticket.
Still beats drinking your own pee.
