CCTV aired images of the 11 babies recently rescued from a human trafficking group in hopes that they will be recognized and reunited with their families. And aren’t they the cutest li’l things?
Police this week arrested 32 suspects in the cross-province criminal network composed of family members living in Yunnan. The ringleader, a man surnamed Gong, would spend 8,000 to 10,000 yuan purchasing an infant Wenshan Prefecture, a rural area of Yunnan. The group would later sell the child for 140,000 yuan in other provinces, such as Fujian and Shandong.
The group is suspected of kidnapping and selling 21 babies. In a recent bust, they rescued 11 of the infants, four girls and seven boys.
